TFM Internships

Student operating a video camera

TFM internships are course TFM 490 in which students may earn 1-3 units of credit.  Each unit of credit equals 50 hours of total time during the semester.  A 3 unit internship should average 10 hours per week for 15 weeks, totaling 150 hours.  The schedule is do be determined prior to registration.

The application period for internships begins the first day of the semester (before the first day of classes).  The most common application materials are a cover letter, resume,  and work samples (often known as a reel) submitted to the internship site.  Many sites request an in person interview after reviewing the initial materials.  SDSU Career Services offers excellent guidance on developing these materials.
