Bio
Abraham Amkpa is a multi-hyphenate (actor and filmmaker) who attended the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts Drama School, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts. Later, he obtained his Master's Degree in Filmmaking and New Media from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. Abraham was featured in an interview with Movie Maker Magazine as one of their 'New Faces to Watch of 2022' for his short film and proof of concept 'LIFT,' which is currently in development with Jim Cummings (Thunder Road) and Vanishing Angle to be made into a feature film in 2025. The film is also available for streaming on PBS SoCal and their streaming application under their Fine Cut Finalists season 24, episode 1.
Abraham's upbringing in West Africa, England, and New York City gives him a unique multicultural perspective that enriches his storytelling. He has honed his acting abilities alongside industry greats in Television and Film for over a decade, including pivotal experiences on procedural dramas like "Law and Order," and hit TV shows such as "Fresh Off the Boat," "Boomerang," and "Bob Loves Abishola." When not performing himself, he coaches working actors for popular television shows such as "Roswell," "Lovecraft Country," "Florida Man," "Silo," "Law and Order: Organized Crime," and "Party Down," among others.
