Bio

Jubilate Cox is a Production Designer, Art Director, and Set Designer whose work spans television, film, and live event production. With a fine arts background and an interest in storytelling through space, Jubilate brings over a decade of professional experience to her position as Assistant Professor in the School of Theatre, Television, and Film at San Diego State University. She is a dual card-carrying member of IATSE Local 800 in both Set Design and Assistant Art Direction.

Based in Los Angeles for the past ten years, Jubilate has worked with major studio networks, including Warner Bros., HBO, Disney, and Fox, contributing to series such as Insecure, Shining Vale, Bel-Air, The Burial, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., Station 19, and Hell’s Kitchen. Jubilate has had the opportunity to work bi-coastally, allowing her to collaborate with a variety of talented teams. In addition to her work in television and film, she has contributed to the design of campaigns for companies such as Alfa Romeo, Allure Magazine, and Marriott Bonvoy Hotels. Her design journey began in theater and fine arts, grounding her in a collaborative, research-driven approach that continues to shape her work across all media.

Jubilate holds an MFA in Production Design from the American Film Institute Conservatory and a BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her teaching emphasizes design-forward thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development. She is committed to inclusive storytelling and mentorship in developing distinctive voices for new designers amidst a changing industry
