Bio
Professionally, Ángel Granados has directed and photographed various award-winning projects, including narrative features and shorts, documentaries, political ads, and legal films. Ángel’s film work has taken him to five continents around the globe, and his films have been screened at a number of international festivals. From 2010-2014, Ángel was an in-house cinematographer, editor, and producer for the American Society of Cinematographers and American Cinematographer Magazine. He currently owns and operates the production company Civil Twilight Pictures, Inc. The latest award-winning narrative film he photographed, Seahorse (2022), won the Best Picture Award at the Academy of Independent Motion Pictures. Seahorse is currently featured on Tubi.com.
Academically, Ángel has taught a diverse array of students throughout his career, including most recently teaching undergraduate and MFA students at UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television, Howard University School of Communication, and Universidad Panamericana Escuela de Comunicacíon in Mexico City.

Ángel holds an MFA in Cinematography from UCLA, and an MA in Television, Film, and an MA in New Media Production/directing from San Diego State University.
