Ride or Drive to Performances at SDSU

BY CAR

All cars (even those with ADA placards/plates) need a permit to park at SDSU.

CHOOSE one of TWO ways to purchase a permit:

  1. PayByPhone App: Download the app prior to arriving on campus. Follow the app instructions and enter your license plate number.
    2. OR
  2. Aztec Parking Portal: Purchase a permit PRIOR to driving to campus through the Aztec Parking Portal. Create a guest account and purchase the $6/permit. Print it at home, and place it on your dash once parked.

Parking Structure 12 is the closest to Performing Arts Plaza. To get there:

  • From I-8 College Ave., turn right onto Canyon Crest Drive.
  • At the top of the hill, turn right at the stop sign. The entrance to PS12 will be on your right.
  • Park on levels 3 – 8.
  • Put your permit on your dashboard.
  • Take the stairs or elevator to the 8th (top) floor and cross the pedestrian bridge following the signs to Performing Arts Plaza (not Viejas Arena).

RIDE SHARE

There are 12 Ride Share pick up and drop off locations surrounding campus, and they are integrated into both the Lyft and Uber apps.

TROLLEY

The GREEN line stops at SDSU. Exit the station and follow the path up the walkway to campus. Turn left and pass in front of the Cal Coast Open Air Amphitheatre. Walk directly across Campanile walk way and it’s grassy center to Performing Arts Plaza.
